Brona and Andrew: Gold Coast wedding photography

Many of my clients live out of town and  sometimes our only contact is through email. I hadn’t met Brona and Andrew until their wedding day, but it was well worth the wait! They were so lovely, welcoming and friendly and it was a pleasure to photograph their special day. And as you will see, it was a completely gorgeous wedding. I do love my job!

How did you meet?
(Brona) “We met on a sailing holiday in Croatia and subsequently met up in London where we were both living. Following some time apart initially (as we were both travelling through Europe separately at the time) we became inseparable.”
What qualities do you love most about each other?
(Andrew) “I love how Brona balances me as a person and loves me for who I am, with all my numerous faults and strange qualities!”
(Brona) “There are so many things I love about Andrew but his caring and considerate nature, and his loyalty to family and friends are important qualities I love and admire.”
What was your wedding theme?
(Brona)”Our wedding theme was a spring garden wedding in an intimate setting with close family and friends. The ceremony and reception were at a property in Tallai which had views towards Hinze Dam and the coastline.”
What was your favourite part of the day?
(Andrew) “Seeing Brona arrive and looking amazing, and listening to the wedding speeches!”
(Brona) “The relative calm of getting hair, makeup and photos done before the ceremony. Kissing my husband for the first time.”
Any advice for future brides and grooms?
(Brona) “Don’t underestimate the amount of time and effort that goes into planning one day! Try not to compromise on the things you and your partner value and want on the day. Booking a house for a wedding is much harder than a normal wedding venue, but worked really well.”

The wedding was held in a stunning private residence on the Gold Coast. It was a dream location for a wedding photographer!

I was head over heels for Brona’s bouquet. Whatever those pink flowers are – I think they’re awesome.

The beautiful bride, Brona, was the essence of calm and tranquility on her big day.

One of my favourite parts of the day was when Brona’s dad saw her in her wedding gown for the first time. Such a great moment.

The ceremony was held in the backyard, which had amazing views of the Hinz Dam. The groom,Andrew, looked very handsome too.
